Where The Wild (Furry) Things Are

When people ask me what the must-have item this winter is I say a faux fur vest. They're so chic and you can dress them down or up. I have yet to still buy one. Since I am going home to Dallas this Thanksgiving break, and I will have my mom and her credit card, it's the perfect time to buy one! I found the most amazing one! It reminds me of the characters from the movie "Where The Wild Things Are." I love it because you can button it up or wear it unbuttoned, and it's a color that will go with anything!

You can purchase this at The Limited, and it's on sale for $59.99. Click HERE to go to the online store.

M.I.A

Sorry for the lack of updates we (mainly me) haven't forgotten about this blog! We're going to shower it with love and attention once our (namely me) lives start easing up onthe stress. The semester is drawing to an end, so our professors see it as only fit to cram in as many projects, papers, and exams as they can before they lose the chance and we've moved on from their classes. However, Thanksgiving break is coming up pretty soon (read: in 1-ish days) so there should be enough time for a tiny little update (hopefully from each of my blog-mates). So keep an eye out, and good luck with your endless lists of tasks as well!

And with that, I'll leave you with an inspiring quote.

“Fashions fade, style is eternal.”

Suiting Up

As the semester is winding down and with presentations nigh, I figured it was time to invest in a really nice suit. My first choice of store was Express. I can always count on them to meet all of my business wardrobe needs. The jacket (pictured to the left) was what I ended up with at $98 even. It's a nice, structured, one-buttoned jacket that's simple and generic. Perfect for pairing with the Editor fit pants that are also from Express.

Or a pencil skirt ($59.50), such as the one pictured to the right--which I happen to own as of now. Suffice it to say, I am very happy with my purchases--as one can never overestimate the value of owning a good suit.

Of course, I couldn't help but stop by Forever 21 seeing as (1) this is one of my favorite stores and (2) it's a new addition to this particular mall. I ended up getting only a few items: a plain long sleeved shirt ($6.80), some black skinnys ($9.50), a black tank top with a black bow embellishment on the front, and a nice gray double knit jacket.

Turns out, though, that the gray jacket looks similar to another gray blazer that I own, so I think I'm going to return it for a black one. It's quite the deal! Inside is thermal-y material, so it's sure to keep me warm. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with my purchases. Until next time!

coming soon

After looking through the infinite fashion blogs that live on the interwebs, we've decided to make an attempt of our own. It may start off rocky (as all four of us are quite busy and master procrastinators), but hopefully we'll be able to bring you our a sense of our style and the latest trends we can spot (haha, Sona and your fur vests!)... So please keep a lookout and we do hope you enjoy!
